LIMINAL

Liminal describes the threshold or beginning of day and night, and dawn and dusk; it is the time between light and dark. It refers to the passing of time and the change of seasons. As time passes, there is loss of memory, loss of innocence, and loss of landscape. The leaves, branches, trees are interrupted with overlays of various structures; precipitation, sound waves, light patterns; unnatural things played out against the natural, chance against the predetermined, and reality against the imagined, the abstract and the remembered.

The paintings were exhibited At Zg Gallery, Chicago, in 2010.
